ProHealth is supporting your business development and helping you reach your growth targets. The focus is on pharma- and health tech-related products and services within professional healthcare. Products relating to consumer business and general health and wellness are not included in the programme.
We welcome existing and early-phase companies with a solid problem/solution -approach, technical proof-of -concept, scalable business potential and committed, coachable teams with business experience or readiness to adopt it. Companies that are yet to be founded are also welcome if they adhere to the criteria above.
- An opportunity to apply to the programme on a continuous basis, followed by an acceptance procedure using Lean Canvas methods
- An assigned business coach for each startup who will lead the startup team through the programme
- Access to interactive themed workshops during the programme
- Access to a broad network of persons and companies with deep experience and wide Life Science competencies within e.g. technologies, applications, business, regulatory, legal and financials is supporting each teams journey

Strategic Framework & Financial Planning workshop, 10 February 2021
The workshop deals with strategic issues like execution plans, business and revenue models as well as basic financial planning in startup companies. Valuation principles of companies are also covered. The workshop is run by professional business developer and VC Anders Nordström from AN Business Framework AB.
Business Development – 24 March 2021
The workshop deals with the background of market potential estimation, competitor analysis and preparation for finding investors. Maarit Merla, Forendo Pharma Ltd, hosts the workshop and involves all participants thru selected business cases.
Protection Strategy – 14 April 2021
The workshop provides an insight to patenting and strategically building intellectual property rights with topics like IPR strategy, trade secrets, patenting in chemical innovations and protection of software. The workshop is run by IPR Business Development Specialist Juha Kukkonen and Head of Biotech & Chemistry Krister Karlsson from Kolster.
Business Communication – April 2021, Helsinki
Effective communication is an important part of a startup’s and company’s professional success. This interactive workshop addresses the right business communication and negotiation techniques for a variety of business situations.
Medical Device Regulation & QMS – Mid May 2021
The workshop deals with Medical Device legislation and product development with Fimea, regulatory compliance in Life Sciences with Clinius Ltd, introduction of a classification tool by Lean Entries and ends with 1-on-1 meetings with the experts. The speakers are not confirmed.
Drug Regulation & QMS – Late May 2021
Regulatory requirements and quality issues are important already in the beginning of drug related research and during the R&D stage. The workshop deals with early-stage drug development aspects by Fimea and a drug development company and ends with 1-on-1 meetings. The speakers are not confirmed.
QMS in Practice – June 2021
The Quality Management Systems in Practice -workshop digs deeper into standards and regulations issue. The workshop helps you to create or update your own company’s quality management system. It covers all kind of health product and service concepts. The speaker in not confirmed.
Funding – September 2021
Obtaining funding is a huge challenge. The on-line workshop deals with alternative funding options for your startup, how to apply for funding and how to convince the other party of your business idea. It’s organised in cooperation with Health Incubator Helsinki.
Risk Management from a quality aspect – 10 December 2020, on-line and Turku
Safety is not an absolute but relative value. All products and services include a certain risk which in certain circumstances could cause problems. Risk management is the procedure of trying to estimate the potential problems which could cause hazards. The workshop is run by Pasi Koskivaara.
